More Morph

Men's magazine makeover for Morph. The most disturbing aspect of this (for me) is that it implies that Morph has been wandering around with no clothes on for the last 30 years, and none of us have noticed.

Of course, this is second cousin to the age-old question "Why does Donald Duck wear a towel when getting out of the shower when he usually doesn't even wear pants?" Which I notice is even listed on the Disney web-site's FAQ.

Bill Frindall dies

Although he didn't invent the linear scoring method - that honour goes to either Bill Ferguson or John Pendlington - he perfected and popularised it. Having scored many matches at school, I was invited back as a "neutral" scorer (the year after I left) for the traditional annual Masters vs. 1st XI match. Having always used the traditional scoring books up until then, I decided to try out the Frindall method. Although it took some getting used to, once you have the hang of it, it gives you so much more information that I can't understand why it isn't the standard.
