At 4 pm GMT / 11 am EST, Sunderland's Spark FM has its weekly Local Music Show, presented by Grace Wakes. Local music is a big feature on this college/community radio station, and this programme makes a special point of featuring the best local artists of today from around Wearside and the rest of the North East. Later on, at 4 pm EST / 9 pm GMT, Curt Philips presents Big Band Swing and Jazz from the 1930's and 40's on "G.I. Jive."
