Am I missing something?

OK, I still don't get Facebook, despite trying it for several months. I mean, it's a perfectly rational strategy to say "Hey, let's combine the functionality of a weblog, weblog communities, photo sharing services, professional and social networking, Twitter, fun little Web 2.0 apps, a safe environment for corporate advertisers to pay for it all, and probably several other things as well. Does the whole add up to more than the sum of its parts?" The problem is, to me, the answer to this is "No."
